How do we choose furniture for our home? Inasmuch as it is fun to dress up our home, we have to take a few things in consideration. This is personally a challenge for me, especially with the given space that we have. Today, the company who is tasked to reupholster our couch and lazy boy came to pick up the set and give it a makeover.
fueAfter having seen a few outdoor couches with combination colors, we decided on a particular color theme (cream and brown) for our set. The inspiration was perfect timing, because we have already considered how it would complement the space of the house and the overall appeal. This is a basic whether you would like to throw in a new bedroom furniture in the master bedroom or a few bathroom vanities to your washroom.
Browsing through home magazines may help develop sense of style and orientation. But never allow yourself to be dictated by anyone’s preference. Make sure that even as you are inspired by personalities, you should always have your own.
As for the upholstery fabric that we chose for our couch, we chose German leather. It might not be the best pick given that we have a tot at home. But I think it will be the better option than a fabric. It is a little too dusty in here and I cannot really afford the high maintenance of having to vacuum every so often. Fabric will also encourage bugs because of the dust. It will really be up to the owner’s preference. But it will always be wise to take the weather conditions in consideration.
