Handy Tips on How to Remove Scratches from Furniture

Scratches are ugly, dirty marks on our home's furnishings. More often than not they are bound to stay permanent unless you know how to erase it without destroying the furniture's over all surface. There are a few items that the wonder product that I have reviewed from last year that can be taken care of. But if the scratches are wooden office furniture, then that would be more of a challenge.

First thing to remember is never to use alcohol or any solvent on any wood surface. This will permanently damage the finish of your furniture. You can try to use wood balsam made from honey. Make sure to work on a hidden spot of the furniture to make sure it will not mess with your furniture's surface. To take care of the scratch, get a very fine steel wool and apply the wood balsam liberally and let the wool touch the surface of the wood with the scratch. Try to work your way through the scratch. Most often than not, this will work well with light scratches.
