As for our home, we are hoping to have a semi make over for the ground floor, maybe knockdown the wall of one of the rooms and build a stairs going up to the second floor on that area. The extra space should serve as the office me and the hubby will have our workstations installed. The upstairs will be a couple of bedrooms, a playroom and a music room. I am not sure how that will be possible with a 48sqm.floor area. But I would be willing to settle for three rooms if four will not be feasible. House remodeling can be pretty exciting. You only have to decide on the team that you will work with for it to be successful.
