Knife Care

To take care your good set of knives, be careful not to stir hot food with them. Know that heat damages some blades.



Unless the manufacturer specifically says that the cutlery is dishwasher safe, wash all knives by hand right after every use. Avoid soaking in water. This could loosen wooden handles. Always let dry thoroughly.



Knives with serrated edges depend upon notches for their cutting ability. They should be sharpened only by professionals - or not at all.
