Manage Your Time, Manage Your Life

More and more people are confessing of their need to better manage their time. In this day and age that computers should supposedly make life easier for people, it seems like it even gives people lesser time to do things when it comes to juggling family responsibilities.

Here are some things you can take note of to better manage your time and make sure you are not drowning yourself too much in the computer, immersing yourself in endless online games. First is to write down a schedule to guide you. Try to keep it and do all the tasks on your list. Don’t delay. Plan most of the things you need to do when you are at the peak of your energy during the day. If you are a day person, then strategically place the things you need to do during day time and plan things out on night time, if you happen to be a night person.

Aside from the things you need to do, errands and all, make sure to include in your schedule a time to bond with friends and family. Set a regular date with them.  If you could at all involve your children with chores that would rather take you a while to do, then do it.  Delegate whenever you can.  Make life easier by helping yourself.  Live healthy by having a balanced life.

Maximizing Bits of Time

Most chores can easily be done and over with in bits of times. Like for instance, while waiting in line, you can do several things like checking a list. Or if you're waiting for your turn at the doctor's office, you pay the bills, either by phone or the nearest pay center. Or you can even write out your shopping list. They key really here is to make use of every available time for the little things that you need done.

Here's what you can do in 5 minutes:
Phone for an appointment.
Trim your nails.
Water the garden.
Sew back a button.

How about in 10 minutes:
Write out that card for a loved one.
Repot a flower.
Clean up your desk.
Dust the furniture.
Exercise.

In 30 minutes:
Go through the piles of magazines.
Work on a long delayed project, even in that given time.
Vacuum the house.

Minimizing Housework

Always make it a habit to return everything in its place. Make sure members of your household do the same. You will need the cooperation of the people around you. I have learned that this can be a major issues with couples. If it would seem to be impossible to influence your spouse in this area, make sure to impart this habit to your children. This is something you can still do, even consider it a responsibility - have them form a good habits and they will be the ones to benefit in the long run.

If you and the members of your household do this on a daily basis, housework will be a tad easier for all of you, especially for the one who does the majority of work inside the house. It will be nice to know where exactly things are inside the house.

Do chores as the need arise. You do not need to wait until everything piles up. If you do the laundry in the weekend, you can load the washer before breakfast and after the meal you and the laundry is done, you would not even notice that you did the laundry at all. These eases things up as you get better at multi-tasking.

Always use labor saving gadgets whenever you can. They will really allow for you to save time. But you have to note not to overdo it. Like for instance, it would be a lot easier to chop an onion manually than using a processor that you would have to take apart and wash.

Big tasks should be done one at a time. You don't attempt to fix all the closets in your house in one day. One at a time, you do not need to frazzle yourself. Even as you would want to finish all the housework, you want it done in a less stressful manner as possible.

In planning chores throughout the week, always make sure to take time out for yourself, even a few hours. A day, if at all possible. Doing this allows you to recharge and get back the energy to a more efficient you.

Ease the Burden by Shopping Online

Another handy tip for all homemakers who have found themselves getting rightfully acquainted with their computers and getting savvy on the internet. We can always make use of every inch of time we can spare from shopping online. Try to do your homework and compare prices. Internet has given us all the convenience of shopping right from your computer and having them arrive at your doorstep in no time. This will come in handy for anyone who has better things to do than go to the grocery shop and buy items.

One word of advise though, your must get yourself a list even as you browse along and sort through all those online shops, here’s the warning, not all online shops have a user friendly ecommerce software. You’d be surprised how this one thing could spell out the difference in your experience in shopping online. The better shops are those that carry Ashop shopping cart software.

Valuing Preparations

Cut down on your chores by doing the things you can the night before. I personally have been commended by my husband for regularly doing this, even when we were still dating. We would talk on the phone while I was getting everything ready for the next morning. I would faithfully fix up my uniform and everything that I would be needing to go to the office after.

This habit has allowed me to maximize the time that I have and allows me to beautifully multi-task on things that would normally require so much time and stress to accomplish. It does not take very long to write down notes for the children, or even fix lunches in the evening or even load up the washer with the dirty clothes and detergent so in the morning you will just have to turn it on while you fix breakfast.

You can also set the table in the evening for breakfast when you have finished it up after dinner. You can even set up cereals, breads, jams on the table so you will have less things to do in the morning. Why use that extra time to do all those chores when the saved time could go to your bonding times with your family.
