Family Bonding Time at Home

Our family has immensely enjoyed bonding together especially this last couple of days. While the interest for playing Wii has waned for some, we are just starting. Late bloomers, all right. But we are definitely having the time of our lives. It was just timely that we recently just got ourselves a 32” LCD TV. It is the gift that the hubby and I decided to buy for ourselves when our marriage turned seven years old.

As I shared in my main web page, this current rave has definitely gotten be back to some physical exercise. I appreciate the fact that we chose this LCD that we now have amongst all the other TVs we have canvassed. Its size is perfect for the size of room that we have. Big enough for us to really enjoy the games and workout, but does not overwhelm the room. I believe the size of the television is really a big factor when it comes to partnering it with a game console, like what we have.

It also gives us an almost theatre like experience whenever we just want to unwind and just hangout to watch some interesting movies. Nothing beats bonding time with the family right at the comforts of your own home.

What About Mary?

The USA Network's new original series In Plain Sight has premiered June 1 and is currently making waves. Here’s a game I have for the would be fanatics, I posted Mary’s picture on the sidebar of this site, the challenge is to find that very same image in the In Plain Sight web page. Now let us find out who sees it first!

"In Plain Sight" series is about this tough chick U.S. Marshal Mary Shannon. She is assigned to protect witnesses under her care. Life for her does not come easy even as she has to keep his real job from his loved ones. Plus the stressful fact that the people under her care are practically across all kinds of people, some are even criminals themselves!

Mary the Marshal

The most talked about USA Network's new original series In Plain Sight will premier tonight. A very interesting crime drama starring Mary McCormack as Ms. Shannon in a lead role playing a U.S. Marshal in a witness protection program. She is living a double life because her job cannot be disclosed even to her closest of relatives.

This show moves away from the stereotype guy agent and that is what I love about it. It would be Mary’s character that I would strongly relate to. Smart, tough and savvy. She also has a mom and a little sister like I do.

Coming Soon: Bleach the Movie

Bleach the Movie is coming up real soon to the big screen. This Japanese manga series is written by Tite Kubo, showcasing the adventures of Ichigo Kurosaki, a middle school student who has the ability to see ghosts. The movie is to rock the theaters nationwide on June 11 and 12.

If I were to pick a manga name it would be “Shan Kihaku,” which means beautiful soul. And my character would originally come from the Soul Society, who chooses to make a difference by helping others through great powers from within.

Storing Audio Visual Gears

Wouldn't it be nice when you do not need to stoop up to find that album or dvd that you want played? It is wise to store your records, tapes and dvds at eye level. It is easier to locate them without the need for a step ladder and have players just above waist levels. Make sure also that all electronic equipment is adequately ventilated.

In Plain Sight

One of the things families of all shapes and sizes love is to relax at home and watch videos. At least this is how it is in this side of the world.

One of the more interesting new series that I hope to be able to watch with the hubby is USA Network's new original series In Plain Sight. Cop-type drama can be the most interesting of series. It revolves around the character of Mary Shannon who is in charge to watch over federal witnesses. Mary has a father like boss in the character of Stan McQueen. Totally original plot.

Here is video where I would relocate if I were under a witness protection program. Can you guess my choice of city to hide in?

Coming Soon

Unknown
On May 20 and 21 a big event is going to hit the theatres. I am not really a great fan of scary movies. But I know a handful of people who are going to enjoy this yet unrated film based on the supernatural action-mystery manga, which revolves around a notebook discovered by a student. Sounds familiar? Well, there more to it than just that, as the title suggests, that DeathNote contains the names of people who will soon die.

It does give a sweet ring to everyone on the reality of death and even as scary as the movie is, it does make people think of the what ifs.

Dockers Global

240x180

Pants are an everyday wear for any family. They are just something families of today live with. And when it comes to pants there is one and only sole authority – Dockers. I recently just stumbled upon the ultimate Dockers contest. All that one has to do is make a 30 minute video commercial. No purchase necessary. How cool can a contest get? I do not remember many a contest requiring no purchase. If at all, this is usually part of their promotion to hike their sales up, but not with Dockers. I viewed a number of entries and this is my favorite.

Its simplicity and the message came across with suave stating the fact that wherever part of the world you are, Dockers is global and it is inevitable that it would be known to all. Despite the different translations of the word pants, Dockers is practically the universal term for pants and it reinforces the authority that Dockers already has.

If you think you have the creativity to make a video and have it aired on the June 13, 2008 broadcast of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno in NBC.com then go grab your handycam, mobile phone or any tech gadget that you will need to make that video. You never know, your creative mind might just be what it takes to get your very own video live as an official Dockers commercial.
