Tips on Souvenir Shopping

One of the highlights of traveling is when you go do your souvenir shopping. This is something that foreigners find really thrilling when they go visit another culture and people. Aside from the usual keychains, shirts, one of the souvenirs that you can interestingly check out are the Cheap Hats that most locals sell. These are usually their “national hats” that come with history in it. These kinds of souvenirs can serve for a lovely wall display back home.

Travel Tip: Traveling with Kids

It is vacation mode again, at least in this part of the world. Whether you are planning for a local trip for your family or maybe a swing around in another country, staying in one of those rentals, there are a few things you should take note of, especially if you are traveling with your family.

Having children during the travel can add to the dynamics and you should take care to know what they will need and to still pack light. A bag for random things that children need like small toys and books. Throw in some backs of healthful chips too for extra long road trips are just two of the pointers.

It's summer time once again and families are getting their schedules set for the upcoming summer vacation. After one whole year of having to go to school, children will finally have the time the break that they need and this as well applies to the working bunch.

One thing to do to maximize your vacation time and money is to check out what agencies offer. Booking ahead of time for a beach getaway or Disney vacation packages will give you the best value for your money.

Travel Tip: DFA Passport Delivery Service

If you have not availed of the services of DFA Passport Delivery Service via their hotline 737-1000, then you just might give it a try. I recently just got my passport requirements picked up. You can also visit their website passport.com.ph for more details.

But application for new passport and passport renewal is so fuss free with DFA Passport Delivery. I was told exactly what I need to do from the first call. The best thing about is, their hotline is easy to access. I am now schedule for personal appearance at the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) after 4 days from submitting the requirements.

No, we are not going to punta cana dominican republic, although maybe next time, that could be our next destination. We are headed for Kuala Lumpur this coming September. The DFA Passport Delivery Service also takes care of NSO birth and marriage certificates.

Handy Tip for Travelers

Here is one handy tip for travelers. Whether you are on a local or international tip, one thing to seriously invest in is a handheld gps. A certified traveler will surely find this useful especially if you are in a place not regular to your daily itinerary. It has become like a necessity and has practically replaced the function of the map.

A Tip for Mothers During Family Vacations

So you're packed for that long awaited vacation.  But at the back of your mind, you worry that this isn't really going to be the vacation you want because of the kids in tow that you know you're going to have to fuss over during the whole vacation.  Let's face it, that's just the way it's going to be.  Unless you will be able to set a vacation exlusive to both you and your spouse, you're going to have to live with it and enjoy the vacation anyway.

Here's one neat thing you can make sure you do during your time away with the family. Pick out a place or an activity you wish to do in your destination and have it done. It doesn't matter if you are traveling to one of those orlando vacations or you're headed for the beach. The important thing is to have something done that you so want very much.    Doing this will make the vacation worth remembering.

Land Travel Convenience

Traveling by land is always made easy when on an rv. It sure has its made advantages over traveling by bus. There is practically no limit in the stuff you could bring with you, unlike if you would have to ride a bus. There are companies that sell motorhomesell motorhome and if you travel a lot, with a family in tow, this can be something you can actually save up for.

Why an RV, you might ask. RVs provide convenience that land travel by bus will never be a ble to give you. The room provides better comfort for you and your family. Although motorhomes can be pretty expensive, it is not surprising that people save up or even spend their retirement pay on it.

Tips to Prevent Motion Sickness

There are a few things to remember to prevent motion sickness. Before you embark for your trip make sure you did not just had a full meal. Light snacking is ideal before a flight or a boat ride. Keep crackers handy to munch on.

If you are someone who is prone to motion sickness, make sure to sit near the front of whatever vehicle you are riding in. Always sit towards the direction to keep you eye and body in sync with the vehicle’s movement.

Taking in powdered ginger thirty minutes before taking off may also help.

Things to Remember When Going to Boracay

Now that our accommodation for Boracay is settled, we are off to pack our stuff and get ready. There are more than a few things to consider when traveling to Boracay. First thing to remember is to bring shorts and light shirts, this is probably what you will be wearing almost the entire to time you will be there.

A good pair of slippers should be in our list as well. In fact, I plan to travel from Manila with my plush pair. Wherever part of the world you are going, locally or otherwise, it is always wise to travel light. You don’t really have a need for extra baggage to carry on, that you might just end up bringing home with you untouched. Medications should also be in our hand carry. It is always best to be ready for any emergencies.

Bring cash but use credit cards whenever you can. It is always wiser to go around the island with plastic. It is safer and it is accepted in almost every establishment. Make sure to drop by pasalubong centers in Boracay and get a few knick knacks to take home to give away to friends.

Travel Tips When Going to Boracay Island

Tips to our upcoming trip to Boracay is the one thing that I have been busy looking into lately. We are really thrilled, to say the least. Going back to where we honeymooned with our son in tow this time excites us. Summer will be over by then, but Boracay is a good place to go to anytime of the year anyway, so we don’t really mind. At least there won’t be a surge of people we have to bump elbows with by that time.

If you are going to Boracay and would love to witness the Kalibo Ati-Atihan Festival (Philippine’s version of Mardi Gras) then you should go on January. Sports events are celebrated in the same month to February. March, April and May are the peak season months for Boracay. As expected hotel and resort accommodations are not the cheapest during this time, especially those that come close to that of Puerto Vallarta hotels.

It is the time when the island is most crowded. Rates of hotels are at their peak. If you would love to experience Boracay and you are on a budget, the off peak season months are June, July and September. You should also take note that during these months, you might not enjoy the beach as you would if it were summer.

The rest of the year will be considered peak season as well. Festivities are ongoing any time of the year and holiday offerings are widespread in establishments especially during Christmas. Whatever time of the year you decide to go, it is always a joy to relish Boracay’s white sand and enjoy its community.
