If there is anything we do not need these days, is is computers that are substandard. If the goal is to get hold of a durable and best laptop computers, we all need to do some research here and there.

First is to make sure you have at least 5 choices on your list. And the list should be from recommendations of people who are knowledgeable on computers and tech stuff. Getting hold of a list trims down your choices a great deal. Read reviews of the ones on your list. Decide on how much you are willing to spend for a good brand. When you have listed the pros and cons of getting the computer that you think will suit your need, head on over to the reputable brand carrier of the laptop of your choice.

Desktop vs. Laptop

If you are into saving energy, then it would be better to choose a laptop over a desktop. I have personally proved this to be true. Mid of last year, we decided to upgrade our desktop's computer memory but it wasn't until I switched to a laptop that the electricity consumption went significantly down.

But if you happen to play a lot of computer games, you would have to get a desktop instead. Just for the record, someone who experimented with desktop and laptop, plugged the laptop into the car charger. The laptop worked great and the car still started. While as for doing the same with the desktop, he blew two fuses and drained the car battery.

So if you are for energy conservation, laptop is for you. But if you are one serious game player, a desktop is preferable. It is always better to purchase a computer unit with energy star.
