Making a room soundproof can be expensive. But as we wonder how all those now famous started out as garage bands came to be -- did they at all had to soundproof their respective garages when they first started? It would be ideal that you do not have neighbors to disturb. But given that it is not always the case, are eggshells really as effective as they seem to be?
Trying out acoustical mat pasted along the walls might just help too. Having all the instruments on (guitar, drums, ernie ball volume pedal, et al) all at the same time can cost you a report slip from one of your neighbors. Renting a studio every time can be pricey. Trying out that good ol' egg shell and acoustical mats might just be a good quick and not so pricey soundproofing tip.
